Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces

A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the American major.

Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.

Currently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.

It is his first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court since spring of the previous year.

The win also means he has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.

"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."

The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.

His defensive approach and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had prompted some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.

Yet the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.

He came back from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.

The competitors exchanged break points in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to create a decider.

The opponent saved 4 early-game break points in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.

Suitably, he earned the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
