Intensive Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks damaged electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were preparing for further attacks.
